A traditional style balance board ideal for beginners.
A smooth, solid and versatile ride.
The Zippy is the traditional style balance board for beginner to intermediate riders looking for smooth ride with easy fore-and-aft and toe-to-heal transitions. The unique versatility of the Zippy makes this model the ideal balance trainer for the entire family. It Features a nontoxic, anti-slip STS riding surface, 7-ply sustainable maple deck and shaped with the beginner to intermediate rider in mind. It comes with a 4-inch, hard maple rock with an “outrigger” design for added stability.
How is this board different from the Flow?
Although the decks are shaped differently both the Flow and Zippy decks have the same overall running length and are similar in performance. The most significant difference in performance is designed around the Rocks (or rollers). The longer Zippy rock is machined with our patented outrigger design which act as "training wheels" when a rider applies toe or heal pressure to the board. The outriggers allow for increased stability when performing maneuvers requiring toe and heal pressure such as turning spinning and tilting. It's the outrigger design that makes the Zippy ideal for beginner to intermediate riders. Conversely the outrigger-less design of the Flow rock allows the rider to achieve greater toe and heal performance at higher angles thereby making the Flow more challenging and performance driven. The Flow is ideal for intermediate to advanced riders.
Love the balance board so far. I've been using it to rehab after knee surgery and it's been very helpful for building strength and balance. My 5 year old daughter and my wife are also enjoying using it for balance and fun. I think it would be a great learning tool for practicing snowboarding or skateboarding balance.
Bought this to replace a 1995 model stolen in LA recently. My children were balancing before they could walk. It was sorely missed, like a member of the family. We had high expectations for continued quality VT construction, and were not let down. I have now added it to my PT routine following a car accident in October 2015, where I broke my back in 4 places.
A gift for my 16yr old granddaughter who is a paddle board racer. She says "best gift ever".
Very pleased with this order. Researched a lot for my daughter to help with balance for sports and especially surfing. Was not sure having the rail was a good idea or not, but very happy, it challenges her and the different types of rocks will allow her to grow with it.
Bought 2 boards for 2 granddaughters, aged 10 and 12. They love the boards. Everyone wants to try them and the girls are enjoying challenging themselves. It was a great buy.
